Choose the right access method for your device
A browser can be convenient because it does not require installation, while an app can offer a different interface and notification behaviour. Neither option is automatically safer in every situation; source verification and device security still matter.
Keep enough free storage and system stability for normal operation, and avoid forcing installations on a device that is no longer receiving security updates when you have a safer alternative.
Small screens need clear controls
Buttons should remain readable without horizontal page scrolling, and important account or payment information should not be hidden behind crowded layouts. Rotate the device only when the interface supports it clearly.
If a screen is too compressed to understand an action, stop rather than guessing—especially before confirming a payment, account change or download.
Network and notification awareness
Public or shared networks can create uncertainty. Do not ignore browser security warnings, and avoid exposing OTP notifications on a locked screen where other people can read them.
Mobile notifications can also be used in phishing attempts. A message that looks familiar can still lead to a different domain.
Shared-device safety
A shared phone can expose browser history, screenshots, saved passwords and incoming OTPs. Use a screen lock, separate profiles where available and sign out after use.
